India Slams Trump’s Remarks as ‘Inappropriate’ Amid Rising Tensions

India has formally criticized the negative remarks made by the president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, on his social media page named Truth Social as being “inappropriate, uninformed, and poor-tasting.” In one of his tweets, President Trump tweeted about a podcast by Michael Savage where he called India and China “hellholes” and criticized the use of birthright citizenship by immigrants to introduce their families. Additionally, he had mentioned the dominance of Indian and Chinese professionals in the technology sector of California, excluding whites entirely. However, it must be mentioned that these comments were without any evidence. It must be noted that this issue comes at a time when relations between both the countries have been tense due to Trump imposing tariffs on Indian products and pressuring India for buying Russian oil.
